Dabholkar Arts

About

The corners of the frames of his paintings are made of high-quality teak wood and this has become his brand identity and marketing proposition. He wishes to further enhance this brand and spread his work as Arun Dabholkar’s creations.

He has a constant focus on the paintings and their packaging, the wooden frames, the computer processing on the canvas paintings. This makes them a unique interior decoration and mixed media art form that is gaining popularity rapidly.

He has created a small enterprise by the name of Ameya Handicraft Industries under the Government of India’s ‘Khadi Village Commission’ scheme in the Kudal MIDC area of Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra.

Ameya Handicraft Industries is run by Ameya the eldest son of Arun Dabholkar and is supported on the technical side by his younger son Sarvesh Dabholkar. This enterprise has also won a government award.

Arun Dabholkar and his paintings believe that The Art for the art form and its market value both hold a very important place. Art, apart from being the artist’s representation, should bring happiness and pleasure to the common man.

Just like Raja Ravi Varma’s paintings are displayed in many homes, Arun Dabholkar dreams of his ‘Dabholkari’ style paintings to reach every household and be the wall décor on at least one wall in their homes. To achieve this dream, Arun Dabholkar strives to spend his days focusing on the concepts of his paintings.

He is an artist who would like his paintings to be in the hearts of everyone and not just the rich and famous.
